Meatpaper: The new print magazine I wish I'd invented

Meatpaper is a new San Francisco-based quarterly dedicated to "the ideas, artistic excursions and bone-deep emotions" inspired by meat. Yes, I've already introduced myself to the editors. No, they haven't asked me to write for them ... yet. For those of you in the area interested to find out more, the mag is hosting a meaty cocktail event this Sunday at Slow Club in SF's Mission District. I'm planning to attend, anybody want to go with?

A whole party dedicated to meat? At one of my favorite restaurants in the City! Cool! Not sure I'll be back from outings in time, but if I am I will call. -El

I like meat. I eat it whenever I can. One day I will grow meat in my backyard.

Oh man. I hope you guys went to this. I was slow in commiting prior to the weekend because I had a feeling my saturday might do me in. And um yeah. My saturday did me in. I do not have the resilience for nightlife that I once had! Hope you all had fun...

I couldn't make it, dammit. How was it, Jeremy?

The best thin-sliced handcrafted salumi and roast pork ever! Dare I say I was in hog heaven? Vegan "field roast" alternative wasn't bad. And the booze was good, too, of course. Y'all missed out.
